Brandi Graham-Wood, BSM, CPM, CDEM, and founder of NAMME

“I am the mother to three amazing humans and a wonderful daughter in law (25, 23, & 21). Our oldest son was born in the hospital with a Midwife. Our next two babies were born at home with a Certified Professional Midwife (Alex in the water and Aiden on land). Home birth was life-changing for our family. I embraced natural birth, breastfeeding, baby-wearing, and parenting. In 1995, I became certified as a Childbirth Educator and Doula. For four years, I worked at the Madison County WIC (Women, Infants, and Children’s Program) as a lactation counselor. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Science of Midwifery and am both a Certified Professional Midwife and a Certified Direct Entry Midwife through the state of Indiana. I began Home4Birth Midwifery Services in 2001. Since 1997, I have maintained membership in the Indiana Midwives Association. I hold my NARM Bridge certificate, am a certified lactation specialist, and a Certified Community Herbalist.”

Sam Wampfler, Student Midwife

“I am the oldest of a large family and have been privileged to attend a few of my siblings’ births, which introduced me to the world of midwifery. In deciding my career choice, I knew I wanted to help women and babies in healthcare, and midwifery combines both in a mother, baby, and family centered atmosphere! I’m currently enrolled in Mercy In Action College of Midwifery and plan on graduating in Spring 2023 with a Bachelor of Science in Midwifery. I’m excited that I can learn the wisdom and skills of midwifery with Brandi and the Home4Birth team!”

Dr. Devona R. Anderson, MD

“I have been the collaborative physician for Home4Birth since 2016 and a family medicine physician since 2005. I was introduced to the medical field because my mother and grandmother worked at a small community hospital in Kokomo, Indiana. I like the caring and compassionate part of the medical profession. I enjoy treating a person as a whole; not just their medical issues, but their mental and emotional needs, as well. I also enjoy working with generations of a family. When you receive care with me you get competence, a handshake (or a hug if you need one!) and a genuine smile. I love everything about my job! When I am not working, I love to hang out with my husband and 2 small children. I love to make them large home cooked meals!”
